Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC)

The Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) is a sector-specific, industry-led organization under the NSDC, which works towards developing a skilled and future-capable workforce for India's textile and apparel sector. Being one of the largest employment-generating industries in India, textiles need a consistent stream of skilled operators, technicians, and supervisors to cater to increasing domestic and international demands.

TSC works with industry partners, training organizations, and academia to create National Occupational Standards (NOS) and competency-based curricula that span the entire value chain—from spinning and weaving to finishing and packaging. Its training initiatives foster quality, safety, and productivity across functions such as machine operators, fitters, and supervisors in the natural and synthetic textile markets.

With a firm emphasis on conventional skills, modernization, and women's involvement, TSC promotes inclusive growth and increases India's competitiveness in the international textile industry.
