Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC)

The Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) is a national-level organization under the NSDC with the mission of skilling, reskilling, and upskilling India's workforce in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare product industries. With emphasis on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, LSSSDC makes professionals job-ready for highly specialized functions in one of the fastest-growing and globally relevant sectors.

LSSSDC works with pharma companies, R&D laboratories, academic institutions, and industry associations to create National Occupational Standards (NOS) and practical training modules. These are for a broad range of jobs, including production supervisors, maintenance engineers, bioprocess technicians, QA chemists, and clean room specialists.
