Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC)

The Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC) is a specialized body under the NSDC with the mission to create a skilled and empowered talent pool for India's fast-growing beauty, wellness, and personal care sector. With an increase in consumer consciousness and demand for professional services, the council assumes a critical function to standardize skills and provide quality training within the industry.

B&WSSC collaborates with top salons, wellness facilities, cosmetic companies, and training organizations to develop National Occupational Standards (NOS) that represent emerging trends and industry demands. Its programs facilitate career advancement in fields such as cosmetology, wellness consulting, tattoo artistry, and spa services.

Through professional excellence, safety standards, and entrepreneurship, B&WSSC enables people—particularly women—to establish sustainable livelihoods in urban and rural settings and facilitate inclusive growth and well-being.
