Paints and Coatings Skill Council (PCSC)

The Paints and Coatings Skill Council (PCSC) is a sector-specific body under the NSDC that focuses on building a skilled and certified workforce for India’s decorative, industrial, and protective painting industry. As painting and finishing play a key role in construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects, PCSC addresses the growing demand for trained professionals in this field.

PCSC collaborates with paint manufacturers, application companies, and training providers to develop National Occupational Standards (NOS) for roles such as decorative painters, wood polishers, powder coaters, and marine painters. These programs ensure a focus on safety, precision, surface preparation, and quality finish.

By standardizing training and promoting upskilling, PCSC enhances job readiness and productivity across sectors where high-quality painting and coating are essential for durability, aesthetics, and performance.
